I’ve been coming to Andalucia to cycle with Andalucian Cycling Experience for well over 10 years now racking up at least 4 or 5 trips in that time.

This time was a little colder and I actually finally saw a couple of the very few rainy days in this region but I still had an excellent cycling trip.

Ashley and the team are very flexible and have helped make it so easy to get across to cycle including organising airport transfers and hire bikes which have always worked well.

Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

I rented a road bike for two days of cycling around Ronda. Bike was in great condition, communication was excellent, and Ashley recommended two routes that I loved. Quiet roads, epic climbs, picturesque towns — I can’t wait to come back!

We were two families staying in Ronda over the school half-term to escape the grey, wet and cold UK winter. We hired road bikes from Andalusian Cycling - they were great Wilier or Liv bikes that were perfect for our group that ranged in age from 11 to 59 years old. There had been some extremely bad weather in the week preceding our visit and Ashley provided valuable route advice that ensured we could make maximum use of our time, and avoid closed roads etc. The cycling was excellent, in particular a circuit up through Benaojan and Montejaque, and an out/back ride to El Burgo though the Sierra de las Nieves national park.

I had a great week riding with Andalucian Cycling Experience in Ronda. It's a beautiful area to explore, with good roads and lots of climbing. There was a lot of variety in the scenery each day and Ronda itself is a pretty town to be based in. Ashley and Drew were good company and excellent guides, adapting to my pace and supporting me each day. Organising the trip with them was very straightforward.

I was looking for an area within Spain to do a mini-cycling holiday over Christmas. I had read a lot about Andalucia and after a lot of research decided to use Ronda as my home base for day trips to explore the region. As a solo traveler, I was unsure about how safe the roads would be, where to rent a bike and what areas/routes to explore. I noticed Andalucian Cycling Experience pop up over reddit multiple times so I contacted them - Ashley was extremely helpful and worked with me over email to arrange a bike hire and airport transfer from Malaga to Ronda. He also provided gpx routes and answered other questions I had about the region. Drew helped with my airport transfer to and from Malaga - he was very friendly, nice to chat with about the local culture in Ronda and riding experience. He also explained the cycling by-laws which requires motorists to provide 1.5 meters berth as they pass you - this exceeded my expectations and was a nice reprieve compared to North American driving culture! He also set me up with my bike hire (Wilier) and ensured the measurements matched as close as possible to my bike at home. I absolutely adore my own bike but opted not to travel with it - I was skeptical I could find a bike hire that would satisfy my high standards - but the Wilier performed flawlessly - great bike for climbing the Andalucian mountains, handled well on flats and descents. The bike is in excellent condition with a carbon frame and ultegra mechanical group set. I also noted that their bike hire was cheaper than other companies I researched. Overall - great experience! I would love to return to Andalucian some time in the future - it was beautiful!
