Underwhelming pasta. (Nduja Carbonara ) Dry, barely a trace of nduja. Lacking in flavour and spice. Arancini starter was tasty.
Lovely setting on the old town square. Considering this is the most expensive restaurant on the square I'd expect far better quality food. Service was good.

It was a suprice real nice place!!! gGood food & service i think is the Best in Coin ! We will be back!!! We had wine pizza and water 25 euro per person.
A good italian restaurant. Fresh made pizza's. You can see them made by the chef. Also a variety some fresh made pasta. We had pasta with shrimps and chicken, pasta with a kind of mushrooms and one with bbq sauce. As a starter just to have a bite we had the breadfingers with tomato and cheese sprinkled over it. Very nice.
A portion of the paste, we shared, is good for one person. 5-6 big pieces of tortellini for example. If you take 2 dishes you can share. We did not have a desert this time.
Be aware that you sit on the cosy chairs, not the hard, wooden, very uncomfortable chairs.
There is a nice outside space also.
The staff is oke, but a biiiit more smile can do a lot.
You must know where the restaurant is situated. In a small alley, with a dead end.
Going back next year for sure to try some other dishes. Mainly spanish people who come here.

The restaurant La Mafia is one of the great suorises and treats in Coin. It is like a very smart and trendy restaurant that has just landed from Malaga or Madrid. I had not been in Coin for a number of years and though I really like natue and atmosphere of the town it would not have felt like a place that would have such a restaurant. I am an architect from Dublin so I have an appreciation of the work involved in creating such a stunning place. And despite the architectural quality of the restaurant the menu is very reasonably priced and the food is excellent. We visited twice during our annual holiday in Alhaurin el Grande and on both occasions throughly enjoyed our meals served by efficient and pleasant staff. We look forward to visiting La Mafia again next year and wish it every success

For all this celiacs out there, I eat here no problem, they have some gf options, no pizzas yet, but fingers crossed.
Great food, super restaurant.
