🌟 What's New on Málaga Directory

It's been a busy few weeks behind the scenes. The directory has grown a lot — new destinations, hundreds of new businesses, and a tighter bilingual experience across the whole site. Here's a quick tour of what's landed.

🛍️ Shopping-Centre Destination Pages

The Costa del Sol's malls and shopping centres are now first-class destinations on Málaga Directory, with their own landing pages, photos and full lists of shops, restaurants and services inside each one.

The biggest of the bunch is Plaza Mayor — we've populated it with around 100 individual businesses so visitors can browse the whole centre before they even arrive. Eight more shopping destinations are live alongside it, with more rolling out.

You'll see them in the Destinations section on the homepage, or via the Destinations menu at the top of the site.

📍 More of the Costa del Sol

Málaga Directory has always been about the city, but the local economy doesn't stop at the city limits. We've been steadily expanding coverage outwards — Marbella, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Mijas, Alhaurín and the smaller towns around the bay.

If your favourite local — wherever it is in the province — isn't on the directory yet, you (or the owner) can add it in a couple of minutes for free.

🌐 Fully Bilingual, End to End

Every page on the site now exists in two complete versions — one in English, one in Spanish — including category descriptions, business profiles, reviews and image alt text. Use the flag toggle next to the site logo to switch, or share a link with ?lang=es on the end to send someone straight to the Spanish version.

This isn't auto-translate-on-the-fly: each language is its own indexed page, which means Google can serve the right version to the right visitor. Helpful for locals and visitors alike.

  • A nav-bar dropdown so destinations are one click away from anywhere.
  • More guides — wedding suppliers, family days out, late-night spots and beyond.
