About the neighbourhood: Distrito Centro

Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

I had a great time at Café Amaretto. I enjoyed a delicious pizza in the afternoon and came back later for drinks while watching the France vs. Morocco World Cup match. The atmosphere was lively, the staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. A perfect place to enjoy good food, drinks, and football. Highly recommended!

The BEST pasta we have ever eaten (Fagottini di formaggio e pera) We came here two nights in a row and we were not disappointed for either. Amazing service, gorgeous atmosphere and beautiful food.

Ivan our server was very nice and the cocktails are very good. Pizza’s are good too, pasta’s a little less good. Cocktails were great. Very cheap and nice atmosphere. Great location. A plus is the gluten free pasta they offer!
