Left in tears and traumatised. Never felt this embarassed in my whole life. Though the lady at the front desk was very professional and kind to arrange my papers. She deserves a 5/5 but then came the doctors appointment, I do not speak English fluently especially not medical terms but I do speak basic Spanish and I can understand almost everything .I prepared every concern in a text in Spanish just so she could understand what is wrong exactly. When she saw that and she did not even want to read, she treated me with disrespect and did not even listen to what I had to say so when she asked questions I did not have the chance to explain fully ( she only listened to 1 sentence then stopped me) what was going on and she also believed I was a liar, putting on grimaces of discontent and rolling her eues and shaking her head in disbelief. I am someone who does not go to a doctor unless I really have to and she made me feel like trash. She interrupted me and did not try to listen to what I had to say whatsoever. She treated me like trash. I come from Belgium where doctors are a lot more professional than this. They swore the oath of Hippocrates swearing to treat patients the best they can but I have never been through this and you would not think this doctor swore an oath. I need to go to there for work unfortunatally. I would much prefer to go to another private clinic (where I have been helped in an excellant way before) but my work does not allow me to. I hate this place and will never return. I hope you will deal with better doctors there. Nobody deserves to be treated like that, especially when they are hurting and sick like I am.

I honestly felt dismissed and invisible here. For almost a year, I kept going back with symptoms like my hair falling out — and all they gave me was shampoo. No one thought to do a simple blood test until much later, when it turned out I had multiple deficiencies. It was heartbreaking to realize how long I had been suffering for nothing.

At one point, I was even told to “go to a café, enjoy life, and sit in the sun.” That was their medical advice. I left feeling completely unheard and embarrassed for even asking for help.

To make things worse, no one explains how to get a medical leave (baja). It’s like a secret system: you first have to go to the emergency room, then call by phone (not through the app!) and ask for an urgent appointment for the baja. The ER staff themselves didn’t even seem to know this. It’s frustrating and confusing when you’re already unwell.

If you can, please get private health insurance. It changed everything for me. I now go to Clínica del Río and Hospiten, and the difference is night and day. At Clínica del Río, you can walk in without an appointment, and even get blood tests on Saturdays at Eurofins. The care there is attentive, efficient, and human — everything I was missing before. With the informe you get at the private clinic, you can then ask for the baja at the public. They will be cranky that you have indisputable proof from another clinic, but you will get your baja - make sure you ask for a special baja consult by phone.

Very helpful service and short waiting time for a Friday afternoon. The receptionist was lovely, she assisted me to register on the system after I showed my residence card. I was then seen by a doctor and given a prescription. Thank you!

New building for the consultations and tests.
It didn’t revolutionized the way staff is working nor make them nicer but at least it feels better to be in a clean and modern facility.
As foreigners my wife and I didn’t feel very welcomed, even if I speak Spanish and I helped everytime for the translation.
Maybe they like this with everyone, foreigner or not, but clearly the people working there are not happy and unorganized.
If you have money, go private.

I attended the clinic in the past few days, and although it’s a wait to be seen by the administration team, the lady I dealt with Marta was extremely helpful on both occasions. This is a public system, and it’s expected to be slow, but please acknowledge the good work of the employees.
