Thank you to the endoscopy team. I felt reassured and respected at all times. My special thanks to Nurse Caroline who combined warmth and profesionalism to promote calm and confidence in her patients. I was very impressed by the whole team and the high standards in the hospital throughout.

I cannot thank the staff at the hospital enough - from the moment I arrived and the porter put me in a wheelchair to the lovely lady in the plaster room (I damaged ligaments in my foot☹️) - even with the language barrier I felt well cared for. Only reason not 5 stars was the 3 hour wait. If you are a Brit in the Antequerra and find yourself in need of medical attention - don’t hesitate to use this hospital xxx

I went today for a consultation in the eye department...was told I needed laser treatment for cloudy lenses on both eyes ..was seen..tests done... laser treatment given..in and out in an hour.... cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism and courteous ways... especially the doctor who treated me...who spoke perfect English...I am very grateful..

We went for a minor thing to the ER and we received a prompt and warm care.

I do not recommend the gynecology service at this hospital. I'm posting my review here in case it helps someone.

In 2022, a retired doctor, María Dolores Camacho, told me I needed a hysterosalpingography because she was 100% certain that both my fallopian tubes were blocked after finding a small 1.8 cm endometrioma. In my opinion, her medical judgment was somewhat clouded by a recent medical case, so I decided to consult another doctor. This doctor, who had worked in the department, told me I could have the test.

The test results came back normal. Bilateral tubal patency. I contracted an infection during the procedure. Blood tests showed significantly elevated levels (CRP, extremely high coagulation, etc.) related to the infection. I was admitted 15 days after the test, and my condition worsened considerably. I underwent a "scheduled" operation, not an "emergency" one. During the operation, the gynecologists and this woman made decisions that neither my partner, family, nor I were aware of. They operated in conjunction with a fertility team over the phone (a malpractice confirmed by other medical teams consulted afterward). They removed organs that affected my fertility (as a precaution, they claimed), and no treatment was given for a serious condition like aspiration pneumonia (I have multiple negative COVID tests because this doctor started saying it was COVID without any scientific basis). I ended up in the ICU on a ventilator and survived to tell the tale. In 2025, my surgeon detected a firm bladder-uterine adhesion that wasn't resolved during the operation at this hospital and had quite serious consequences.

Finally, I want to thank the entire team of intensivists, internal medicine specialists, and nurses who saved my life. I still have physical aftereffects. I hope that someday someone will read my report and take steps to prevent this from happening again. I didn't have the courage to stand up to this retired doctor and her cronies.

P.S.: When a doctor leaves a hospital, they are no longer considered an employee, regardless of the patient-doctor relationship. I never authorized her presence. No one listened to me when I complained about my symptoms. I was completely ignored by this "lady." And the hospital allowed it.
