Private hospital with exceptionally high fees.
- I visited due to ankle pain after a fall.
- I was surprised to learn that the consultation fee alone was approximately €400, and that the hospital required an upfront deposit of €1,000 before that consultation.
- While the medical staff were professional, the costs seemed extremely high for an initial assessment of an ankle injury.

The WORST hospital. I went to emergency unable to breath & dizzy. After one brief injection to help anxiety, which I don’t have, I was told to go home. Decided to try another hospital. Turns out I have a pulmonary embolism!!! This is the second appalling visit to Vithas - avoid AT ALL COSTS!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. In an hospital you need to wait, of course much less than in a public hospital, but you need to be… patient.

I went here today (Sunday 29 of March) for an urgency during my holidays at Estepona and they did a great job, I entered with a lot of pain and went out in a few hours feeling much better and with diagnosis.

The place was clean kudos for the cleaning team, receptionist was correct and fast, the medic Fede and his team were very helpful, he asked to do all the required tests to discard a serious problem and determined what was the possible issue and recommendations. He understood that I’m not fan of diazepam and he recommended Nolotil instead.

Thanks to the woman who helped me to stay calm with the TAC, thanks to the nurse that did the electrocardiograph, blood test and all his support, we had a great conversation about cats :)

Vithas Estepona is a terrible organisation with zero respect for appointments.

They give you an appointment, but they never respect it.
I was given an appointment for 11am. I arrived at 10:55, but they didn't attend to me, and I had to leave at 11:45 unattended. They said other people came before me.
Since you knew you would attend to people based on arrival time, why give me an appointment then?

This is the 3rd time this has happened to me from the same facility.
Their system is awful. The worst part is that there is no one to report to.

DO NOT TRUST THIS CLINIC — COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL

I’ve never experienced such a poorly run medical facility. I went for routine blood work while pregnant, and every step of the process was riddled with errors and disrespect.

Despite clearly informing them of my pregnancy and fasting requirements, they scheduled my blood test for 11:50 AM — far too late for someone who shouldn’t be going that long without food. When I arrived, the nurse screamed at me, questioning why I booked such a time and complaining that it was inconvenient for her as she finished work at 3 PM.

Even after taking my blood, I was forced to sit and wait another 30 minutes while the nurse double-checked with reception, as if I had made it up. The lack of communication and basic compassion was appalling.

This wasn’t a one-off. Every appointment was a disaster. I left in tears more than once.

The final straw? They lost my blood work. Sent to their own lab — and somehow, it disappeared. How does a medical clinic lose something so important?

This is not a hotel where a bad experience is just inconvenient — this is a healthcare provider responsible for people’s well-being. And they failed in the most basic ways.

Avoid this clinic at all costs. Your health and peace of mind are worth more.
