Hostal El Escudo de Mijas

We have stayed here several times & have enjoyed every visit. Great Value for money right in the heart of Mijas. Nicely decorated rooms with lovely sea views.

here was really great hotel! at first,
the location is good: near the center and you can go everywhere in mijas less than 10min by walk.
the next, the hospitality of the owner is great:most time, there is no one in reception. you can get card in post by whatsapp or email．
and finally, you can see the ocean from the room.

We recently spent 10 days in this charming hostel. We had never stayed in a hostel before but were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and well presented with excellent wi fi, air con, twin sink bathroom and big balcony with table and chairs. Clean towels and sheets on request and room cleaned each day if requested. The lady on reception was very nice, spoke English and was very helpful. She arranged for us to leave our suitcase in the hostel on checkout day as we had a late flight.
All in all we had a lovely stay in the centre of Mijas Pueblo but tranquil at the same time. Would definitely recommend.

Charming little hostel, I spent one night there. If you are looking for something budget-friendly that is in the center of Mijas but quiet at the same time,look no further! Also nice staff and clean,spacious room. Highly recommend!😍

Perfect location to enjoy Mijas
There is a paid parking few mins away, but we managed to park on the street, 20 minutes walking and it was fine.
The room is fine, with all things you need and very clean.
Wifi was working well.
There's a reception, but we never saw anyone there, however I was in touch with someone on Whatsapp and they even managed to help me when, at check out, I closed the door leaving the keys behind and realized I forgot something in the room!

The whole hotel and especially the furniture seem a bit old, but can also be its charm in a way!
I didn't like the fact that the pillow is one long one for both people, not the comfiest.

We picked it also because it's only 20 mins by car from the airport so for us was a perfect last night in Andalusia :)
