Stopped in town for the day with my girlfriend and was extremely lucky to have walked past the hotel and ask if they had a room.

That’s when we met the hotel owner Nacho who was an absolute gentleman - despite the hotel being fully booked he managed to get us a room and was the most helpful person we’ve encountered on our trip so far!

He mentioned Lionel Ritchie was playing in town! Of course you know what happened next 🙌

Nacho is a great guy, he went above and beyond, the hotel was very accommodating and it is an excellent location just 2 minutes from the beach.

Nacho, eres EL hombre! 🙌🙏

This hotel has both good and bad details.

The good: The price, it is on the cheaper end of the local area. The rooms have a lockbox, a balcony and air con, the hotel has 24/7 front desk and the staff are friendly.

The bad: the noise. The room has no shutter on the window. These are generally standard in all hotels and homes in the area, they help keep out the heat and the noise. There is only a single pane glass door between you and the school across the street. The maids and maintenance start at 7am so expect drilling and banging early in the day. Every single noise sounds like it’s right outside your room.
There are no ‘do not disturb’ signs or ‘no housekeeping’ signs. We asked for no housekeeping on three days of our four day stay and twice we were ignored. The maids also consistently turned off the air con and opened the curtains so we would come back to very hot rooms.
You aren’t allowed to leave the hotel with the room key, it is confiscated by the front desk. This wouldn’t be so bad, but all keys are left in plain view and the desk isn’t always manned. This is obviously a security concern.
There was an infestation of ants in the bathroom (pictured) but as the hotel was fully booked I couldn’t be moved room.
The bed sheets were dirty and stained (pictured).

The shower was hot and powerful but the shower head was broken and water only came out of 4 holes. The water pressure depends on how many other guests are using the shower in their rooms. Don’t worry though, you will know when people are showering because you can hear it every single time.

Absolutely fantastic service in a mid quality hotel. Rooms are acceptable at the price, they do lack tea & coffee making facilities in the room but kettle and coffee is available in the reception area downstairs. The rooms are plain and comfortable but the staff go above and beyond. The hotel is right in the centre of the food district so within 5 mins is an amazing range of eating choices.
