Marvelous! I absolutely loved every single thing about this restaurant. The ladies taking care of us were so fun and kind. All the dishes had an amazing taste. This is definitely a restaurant that you shouldn't miss when in Ronda.
Very good food and and service. The paella, white wine and tacos for starters tasted very good. Also good service from the staff. The food came realtively quick.

Wow, what a place! We ordered the Artichoke salad which was the most amazing salad I ever had in my life! And then the pulpo (dry) paella, which the waiter recommended. Never had dry paella before but it was perfect! Also, the chef brought the dishes out to every table and had a chat with everyone, very personal. And the presentation of the dishes and all the ingredients were so fresh!! I’m surprised there wasn’t a queue to get in! I want to go back! 💜💜
The most impressive food in all of Spain is not in any of its 5 star establishments in Madrid or Seville, but here, in a humble restaurant in Ronda run by a talented chef who cooks for her love of food, above all.
The menu is diverse but expertly executed, each dish prepared with equal parts love and attention to detail.
There are some dishes which are simply too time consuming to be served in restaurants that are focused only on profit. La piconera is full of such time consuming dishes, the Chef/Owner has her eyes set on culinary excellence rather than profit, and her customers are truly lucky to benefit from her impassioned hard work.
My favourite paella in Spain. They have so many options, particularly in seafood. I loved the crust on the cheesecake as well - it's the best I've had in a while. The service is a bit sparse and the servers can be cold/ blunt, but the food makes up for it in my opinion.
