Marbella Wedding in Spain

In 2024, my husband and I decided we wanted a destination wedding. Living in Toronto, Canada, and having never even visited Spain before, choosing Marbella felt like a huge leap of faith. Everything changed after my very first video call with Ilinca. From that moment, I knew we were in the right hands.

Planning a wedding abroad can feel incredibly overwhelming, especially when you can’t visit venues, do menu tastings, or have hair and makeup trials. To make things even more challenging, we were expecting our first baby during the planning process, so travelling for trials wasn’t possible. Despite all of that, Ilinca made me feel completely confident that everything would come together perfectly—and it absolutely did.

Over the course of two years, the Marbella Weddings team guided us through every step with incredible professionalism, organization, and care. They truly understood our vision, recommended amazing suppliers and the perfect venue, and brought everything to life beautifully.

On our wedding day, everything was absolutely flawless. I never had to think about timelines, logistics, or coordinating suppliers because every detail had already been taken care of. I was simply able to enjoy marrying my best friend and celebrating with the people we love most. Having our four-month-old son there was something we were initially nervous about, but the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for him as well.

Since returning home, we’ve had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. Every detail felt effortless, the entire day flowed seamlessly, and it exceeded everything we had imagined.

Marbella Weddings were the best decision we made for our big day. Ilinca, Chiara and Sabina helped us plan it over the last two years and were there every step of the way. Super organised and always three steps ahead, their attention to detail is second to none. They brought all of our visions and ideas to life while adding some beautiful touches of their own that we never would have thought of.

On the day itself we were completely relaxed because we knew they had everything running perfectly in the background. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, and it left us free to just enjoy what was, genuinely, the most perfect wedding we could have imagined.

They are the most wonderful people, and by the end it honestly felt like they were part of our friends and family. No one could have been happier for us to get married. It’s been a week since the best day of our lives! Thank you to Lili and her team for bringing my dream wedding to life. Our guests are still gushing about how magical everything looked and I’m still in disbelief that this was our wedding! Couldn’t have been more perfect.

We spoke with many wedding planners in the area while doing our research and we instantly connected with Lili’s warm and friendly nature. She has so many incredible ideas, happy to work within any budget and has really great relationships with her trusted suppliers. I really appreciated that Lili was always very calming to me when I was stressed =) and on the day she made sure I ate, had time to fully enjoy and be present with my guests, and was always there to ensure everything ran smoothly and everyone got home ok!

Firstly, ilinca (Lili) is the most warm, caring, patient person you will deal with in the wedding industry. She has one goal, to give you a dream wedding and to ensure you are happy. She will only bring the best vendors, never push anyone on you and she will fight to save you money/get the most out of every vendor.

As for vendors, Lili and the team have close relationships with the BEST of Marbella. To name a few: Pedro Navarro for flowers/design, Soul Events for lighting, PapelaSophie for stationary, and many more for the small stuff. It is a saving grace to have someone local (especially if you’re abroad like us) that has such close partnerships with phenomenal vendors.

Finally, the overall team is as good as it gets. They are responsive to messages at all hours to make sure every little detail is done. They are incredibly well organized to execute on every detail you mention over the months of planning. And on the day of, they will put together your perfect wedding.
