About the neighbourhood: Distrito Centro

Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

Be careful here. Ask for prices first, small bottles of coke €2.50, most expensive in the area by far. The attendant was noting what he sold so he may have been skimming the extra for himself.

Selling melted ice cream for 5 Euro!. The rude lady doesn’t accept return. It’s tourist scam. Avoid at all cost.

Everything so expensive!
I understand that a bottle of water you could charge a bit more expecially if it comes from the fridge, but a pack of 6 bottols of unknown water 15.00 euros? 1.5 lt each!!!

Tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. No prices on the products. Bought bottle of cola (0,5 l) for EUR 2,95. In none of the restaurants in Malaga I paid that price. Rude staff.

We needed cafe and condensada and we're happy they had both. Cashier very friendly. Small store but all the basics are here.
