Very interesting museum. Staff are very friendly and informative. They put on a film about the history of sugar in Torre del Mar. It is an old black and white , silent film so doesn't matter what your language is.
Some great photos showung the changes in the town. An excellent place to visit.

Very little exhibition and everything only written in Spanish.

It wasn't open New Years day as expected but some people turned up there anyway. Be great if it was made clear in future about opening hours.

A very interesting place with a vibrant cultural scene. We were lucky enough to attend the opening of an exhibition and the following day a flamenco festival organized by the Rocío brotherhood of Torre del Mar and the Torre del Mar town hall. The people were also lovely and helped us with information about the town and the buses to Nerja.
I wish the cultural center in my neighborhood in Madrid was anything like it....

A very interesting visit. Admission is free. The museum guide at the entrance explains everything you can see and tells you part of the history of Torre del Mar, using a laser pointer to guide you through the different areas of the museum. Excellent guide. They comply with COVID measures, including temperature checks. On the ground floor, there is also a very large Nativity scene, especially during the Christmas season. On the first floor, there is an exhibition of the Phoenician archaeological sites in the area. On the second floor, there is an impressive exhibition of antique irons. A highly recommended visit.
