Naim Guest house La Cala Del Moral

I recently stayed at Naim Playa in Cala del Moral with friends and we had an incredible time! The guest house is just steps from Playa de la Cala del Moral and close to other beaches, perfect for beach lovers. Our air-conditioned unit had a fully equipped kitchen and some of us enjoyed the terrace. The hot tub was a hit after long beach days. With its prime location, Naim Playa was the perfect base to enjoy all that Malaga has to offer. Highly recommended for a fun-filled getaway with friends!

Not great 🙄 Rented the place with several friends last year. Cockroaches, jacuzzi not very clean with a lot of foam on the surface. Don't pay too much attention to the details, and it's difficult to park on the street, especially with two cars.

I slept here for 7 nights.

5 nights in room number 2 – a double with two single beds. This room doesn't have air conditioning, but the October night wind was sometimes icy, and opening the window was enough.

Room number 2 is on the ground floor, bordering room number 1 on the right, the bathroom on the left, and opposite is room number 3, and you can access these rooms through the kitchen. The room was well-insulated, but not from the kitchen, as there was a large gap under the door.

I spent 2 nights in room number 3 – a double with a single bed.

It was terribly small. Despite the air conditioning, I could feel the humidity. The lack of a normal window was taking its toll on me. My friend's Wi-Fi was intermittent, but neither mine nor the hotel's did.

When you open the blinds, you see a view of a small terrace with a "shower." It makes NO SENSE what's in the room from the kitchen and dining room. In the photos, it looks like a private bathroom, but this one is more of a smoking area.

The hotel was cleaned daily.
I only saw two cockroaches all week, so it wasn't too bad. If someone forgot to close the kitchen window, a horde of ants would come in to clean the countertop.

The beach is about 3 minutes away, and the beach is nice.
The bus stop is also about 3 minutes away (we took route 160, which takes about 30 minutes to get to the center of Malaga, costs €1.75 cash only, and the bus runs every 10-20 minutes).
There are separate towels for the jacuzzi, which are provided in the room. The downside is that the jacuzzi can only be activated through an app, so you have to download the app and register.

The kitchen had cooking facilities:

Microwave, oven, induction hob, kettle, toaster, pots, cups, glasses, plates, frying pan, cutlery, and a refrigerator with numbered shelves. Each room has its own shelf.

There's a hairdryer and shower gel in the bathroom. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't shampoo.

The owner doesn't respond very quickly, so you have to be patient. Housekeeping is at 11 AM, so maybe you'll catch him then.

This accommodation was an absolute disaster – but the landlord was even worse. I really can't recommend anyone book here.

It was clear from the moment we arrived: the place was heavily infested with cockroaches – despite the supposedly regular cleaning. A cockroach even fell directly from the air conditioner onto the floor behind us while we were cooking. It was simply disgusting. When we asked about it, the landlord said it was "normal" in the area and that we should text him if we saw one, and he would come and remove it. We did that – several times. He never came.

At night, a cockroach even climbed over one of us – completely unacceptable. For us – we're from Germany – this is not a normal situation and shouldn't be anywhere, especially not in accommodation that you're paying for.

The upper floor, which according to the description should have had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room, was completely unusable for us because the air conditioning was broken and it was far too hot up there. As a result, we had to share the rooms downstairs. He simply said, "There aren't that many of us, so it's fine downstairs." YET we paid for THAT????

The landlord promised a refund for the inconvenience, but after we checked out, he suddenly went silent. When we repeatedly contacted him via WhatsApp, he became rude and said, "Relax, it's only 100 euros." We still haven't seen those 100 euros, by the way. Now he's completely ignoring us, even though he knows we were massively disappointed and didn't get what we paid for.

In summary: unacceptable hygiene conditions, broken furnishings, and a dishonest and uncooperative landlord. This accommodation is not even remotely worth the money. I strongly advise everyone against booking here.

Unfortunately, a very bad experience. The apartment was infested with cockroaches, and the air conditioning on the first floor was broken, rendering two bedrooms and two bathrooms unusable. The landlord offered absolutely no cooperation. Instead of a quick solution, we were repeatedly given the runaround regarding the refund. While a refund of €100 was promised, it was accompanied only by annoyed comments like, "Relax, it's only €100." We haven't received any response for weeks. Absolutely not recommended.
