About the neighbourhood: Carretera de Cádiz

A long, mostly residential district running south-west of the centre, parallel to the coast as far as the airport boundary. It includes the neighborhoods of Huelin (with its own beach), La Princesa, Sacaba, San Andrés and the major shopping zone around the Vialia / María Zambrano train station. Vialia itself houses dozens of restaurants and the high-speed AVE service to Madrid. The area is well served by Metro Málaga (lines 1 and 2) and bus, and runs the length of the Paseo Marítimo Antonio Banderas.

The park looks really beautiful — there are lovely ducks and even some turtles in the pond. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. There are also two nice playgrounds for children, which is wonderful.

However, it’s often quite dirty. There are many dogs, and unfortunately, a lot of owners don’t clean up after them. You have to be very careful walking on the grass not to step into something unpleasant. Also, many dogs are not on a leash, so sometimes the place can feel a bit unsafe — especially since some of them are quite large.

Unfortunately, there are no public toilets in the park. I think in such a popular and family-friendly place, having toilets would be really necessary.

Parque de Huelin is one of my favorite spots in Málaga. It’s clean, quiet, and has a nice mix of nature and city life. There’s a pond with ducks and turtles, plenty of green space to relax or lie down, and lots of shade. The park also has a fenced area, where dogs can be let free and play. Plus, it’s just a few steps from the beach.
Visited briefly en route to the beach. A lovely stop, lots of benches, and a scenic artificial lake.

Great playground for kids all ages, also a little soccer field (there's a separate 'playground' for dogs as well). Definitly recommend it!
