Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

Aside from the fact that it's located between two streets, by the way, it's fine for Holy Week. Personally, I find it very neglected. It's okay for playing sports, but the surrounding area lacks life. There's hardly any space to put a couple of tables for people playing chess, but I also think it needs to be maintained, of course, but unfortunately there's always someone who ruins it.
Besides all that, I don't like to spoil, as a native of Malaga, the beautiful places we have in my region... Let's make Malaga what it deserves... That way, more foreigners will visit us, and we'll be able to sit peacefully in any park and learn more about our culture and neighborhoods, from the oldest to the newest in Malaga.
