Sadly, if you’re a woman of color they’ll take your money but you won’t be welcome. I got a haircut a few days ago and as I was waiting to pay, my hairstylist casually mentioned she hated Americans. I am an American and given the state of the world I can say that’s fair enough, but another woman who worked there used an appalling racial slur to talk about black people (twice!) and Muslims. I made a face and she proudly declared she was a racist. I’m of mixed race and the whole conversation about immigrants from a group of women who are in fact immigrants felt gross. What’s the point of going to a beauty salon if you leave feeling ugly?

Had a pedicure which was done very well. I had called several times in the morning before anyone was in, and even though I couldn't leave a message or anything, I was called back (to an international number!), so I was verypleasantly surprised! Great service!!
