⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the city of Antequera!!
We LOVE Antequera!! It is the BEST place of our month in Spain (better than Madrid, Toledo, Cádiz, Córdoba, and Granada).
It's not touristy, there are lots of interesting things to do, great cultural offerings, and there's no graffiti or dog poop on the sidewalk. You feel the civic pride 😊
Best of all the people are friendly!!! They meet our eyes and return our greetings. They talked to us. We felt welcome as people, not just tourists with €$.
Gracias Antiquera!!

As for the tourist office, I'm not sure what's going on here, but whenever we tried to visit there was a line out the door and the office was packed with people waiting for some kind of coupon. There was a small sign on the door that said (in Spanish) "tourists don't have to wait in line". But there was no way we would go into that crowded room and muscle our way through the crowd to the counter.

We came here to ask about trains and transport. We were attended by one of the nicest woman ever! So welcoming, and genuinely wanted to help us, which she did

Thanks again!

Very friendly - multi-lingual service which even worked 3 min close to closing time. Info ample and caring. We salut the female employee who helped us make our stay even more valuable. Muchas gracias.
