University Golf Program Malaga - UGPM

Our son completed the GAP year programme Malaga 2023/24 and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough.

The WAGR events organised enabled him to develop both his mental and physical game in competitive environments that he had not experienced before, this definitely stretched him, not only as a golfer but as a person and as a team player. The events were really well organised with high quality accommodation and transportation.

Our son was 18 when he joined the programme, it was his first experience of living away from home, let alone living abroad, but from Day 1 I had entire confidence that Marta and her strong team had our sons best welfare at heart. He had full independence of a Uni life (albeit more structured) but when he needed support, for example when he was unwell, support was available to him.

The technical expertise and the detailed reporting provided by the team improved our sons golf for sure. His language skills improved enormously and we were incredibly impressed with his progress when we visited him.

As well as improving his golf and language skills, we wanted our son to gain some personal resilience and get out of his comfort zone following 'locked down' Covid19 teenage years. I can honestly say that he came back from UGPM a more confident and assured individual. He has made amazing friends for life from across the globe, but more than that... he now has real experience of what life has to offer!

Our entire family benefitted from our son being in Malaga, it was such an exciting time for us to follow his progress, to visit him and watch him grow. Malaga has captured all our hearts, it is such a beautiful, cultured, friendly and diverse city - we actually miss it enormously!

Our son has now moved on to complete a University BA Hons Degree in Pro Golf in Scotland, before he went to UGPM he was going to do something completely different- the GAP programme changed his mind and enabled him to follow a career that is also his passion

It was the best decision ever to send him to Malaga, an experience we can all look back on with find memories for life. Massive thank you to the amazing team that made it achievable for us.

I joined the gap year program last year for 10 months. it was one of the best experiences of my life. got te meet a lot of nice people and the golf lessons were very useful. I recommend it to everyone. thank you Tito, Walter, Ricky, Angel, Felipe and Marta.

This program is a great opportunity in so many ways. You have nice facilities to improve your golf and your physical fitness. All the coaches are really great and try to support you in any way they can. Overall the best thing is that you will meet so many nice people and built friendships, even for life! I would definitely do it again!

I took part in the gap year program for 5 months after graduating from high school in Germany and I had an amazing time! I met nice people from all over Europe and I liked the mix between golf practice, lessons and free time.

Great experience. The staff of UGPM are kind and proffesional. Good training facility and competicion availability. If you want to get better at golf, study and have a great time UGPM is the perfect thing to do
