Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

Vialia María Zambrano is a modern and beautiful train station with a small shopping mall inside. It’s clean, well organized, and offers a good variety of shops and services. A great place to travel through or spend some time while waiting for your train.
This shopping centre has only two toillets, one paid and one free. The paid one is by C1 and C2 station/ line.
The free one is a bit hidden in the shopping centre but not far from the cafes.
The shoppibg centre has some brands as Pepco and Sports Direct, Pull and Bear and some other spanish cheap brands.
Also it has on the 1st flood a Mercadona and here you can leave your bag as you go in Mercadona to buy your water and the snack before the travel ... ;)
Overall OK shopping centre to kill some time if you dont like killing people.
Enjoy
Nice train station, quite a big shopping centre inside, with plenty of restaurants and an arcade for kids.
A wide range of shops and made use of the train there too to go to madrid. There are enough shops and all varied from each other
