About the neighbourhood: Distrito Centro
Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

I especially recommend the Pinsa Carbonara or, if it's breakfast, the Cheese and Jam Croissant.
Exquisite breakfast in a sophisticated setting, with no waiting and excellent service in the heart of Málaga. The decor is tasteful, the food is of excellent quality, and it's very good value for money. I highly recommend it.
