It was about time Málaga had a cultural space like this, with such a packed schedule and such excellent execution. I've attended several events, and at every one, I've been impressed by how well they make the most of the space and how well organized it is. Highly recommended for escaping the tourist traps of the city center—and they even have vermouth!

The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.
