While on vacation in Nerja, our cars were parked in a parking lot near Mercadona all weekend. On Monday, we went to the cars to unload our suitcases before heading to the beach and encountered a man with an accent—I'm not sure if it was Argentinian—who told us that if we were going to keep the car there, he would have to charge us one euro. So, the car was parked all weekend and he was going to charge me? We didn't have our wallets with us at the time, and I asked him if it was from the town hall, and he said no, it was from the "Friendship Workshop." I told him that it was voluntary then, and he became furious, saying, "Well, if you don't want to pay a euro for the children of Axarquía, that's your problem." It was definitely not a "Friendship Workshop." We went back to the apartment to get our wallets to go back and pay him. I don't know to what extent it's legal for him to force me to pay anything when my car was already there, much less to act in such a threatening manner. We went to pay because we were afraid he would do something to the car. You should keep a close eye on your volunteers, because I have no problem giving a euro and collaborating since I run another association, but it would never occur to me to force anyone or raise my voice to anyone to make them give me money.
