The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. Had to book this as am emergency and this hotel has an incredibly difficult check-in procedure and you can not enter if you have no internet connection! The guest are all introverts that don't want to interact with people and are even scared to go out, which is understandable if you look how bad the place looks. Also air condiotioning just doest what it wants and we literlally froze to death (in spain!!).

The worst place i have stayed at by far. The room smelled like crap. Extremely small room with a small nasty toilet, very uncomfortable bed, loud doors and overall a horrible place. If you spill something on the bed sheet, THEY LITERALLY CHARGE YOU!!?!? Don’t they wash the bed sheets? What the hell. 51 euros STOLEN from us. DO NOT stay at this horrible place with the worst service. I regret my stay. Jesus christ.

I booked the suite with the kitchen, and I loved how spacious it was. We had a door in the room which directly opened to the backyard which was really cute, although I wished there were some seating possibilities. The same goes for our access to the terrace, which seemed to be private because apparently no one else could enter the space. Again, I would have appreciated one or two chairs, but I digress.

Our room was scarcely decorated, we had little furniture and barely kitchenware but for the price we payed and our relatively short notice booking, I still think we got more than we payed for. More importantly everything was very clean.

The only thing I really disliked was the shower, because it is build in such a way that it is impossible not to flood the floor with water.

I’m a very introverted person, so I really appreciated that everything was done online and I didn’t have to talk to anyone. If you are sensitive to sounds you should consider using earbuds though, Spanish houses tend to be build thin.

All in all, I can recommend this place for low budget travelers.

And at last, I’d like to have the owners know that our room has great potential for being beautiful, as we had an amazing cut out in the wall to appreciate an old stone wall. A little ambient light and more tasteful decorations really could make the place seem elevated and even more welcoming.

Thank you so much for the pleasant stay! I will come back :)

DO NOT STAY HERE. If you’ve read this and you choose to stay here anyway don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Room is incredibly basic and small and to the point that two of us were incredibly hot in the summer heat. The main reason we booked here was for the air conditioning that didn’t work.

Their online chat is unhelpful and don’t care. They have done nothing but lie to me and booking.com. I have it in writing from AYZ that they would issue a 50% refund through booking.com but when they instructed booking.com it was for only 10%. Prior, they told me and booking.com that they would call me today (this is the third time they told me they’d call me but never on top of saying they tried to call me last week. Call logs prove otherwise) but surprise, the call never arrived much to my and booking.com annoyance. I provided booking.com a screenshot of AYZ saying they would authorise a 50% refund. This has actually angered booking.com when it ultimately turned out to be 10%. They are angry at the way they are treating me but AYZ had no intention of providing a refund. All they wanted to do is lie and delay in the hope I would forget about it and go away.

It’s expensive for nothing. The room is too small and too cold even in summer in Spain. It’s like basement. Cleaning also another issue..

The room doors were as thin as cardboard. You could hear every step from any room. Despite that, there were very noisy groups, probably student groups. They were hanging out quite loudly even after midnight.

The check-in process was a problem on its own, and they definitely made no effort to help. It’s a place I would NEVER CHOOSE again. I have half day in Malaga and only have 2 hours to visit open museums. They ruined my whole Malaga trip. Check in takes more than an hour. Page didn’t work. They collect so many private information. I thought they must have provided soooo expensive stuff in the room but not even a kettle or TV was in the room.
