Tucked away in a quiet corner of Marbella, La Cepa de Cádiz is a charming and authentic wine and sherry bar that captures the soul of traditional Andalusian hospitality. Small in size but rich in character, this local favorite offers a warm and genuine experience far removed from the more tourist-heavy spots nearby.

The bar is beautifully rustic, with tables fashioned from old wine barrels that lend the space a quaint, nostalgic charm. It feels like stepping into a well-kept secret — the kind of place where the conversation flows as easily as the sherry.

La Cepa de Cádiz specializes in fine Spanish wines and sherries, and the staff here are not only exceptionally friendly but also highly knowledgeable. They’re more than happy to guide you through the selection and even tailor their recommendations to suit your taste — whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or just curious to explore something new.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is its mouthwatering selection of charcuterie. From silky Serrano ham to bold, flavorful Morcón, the offerings are of outstanding quality and pair perfectly with a glass (or two) of sherry.

Mostly frequented by locals, the bar retains an intimate, unpolished authenticity that makes it feel like home. Tourists do find their way in occasionally, and when they do, they’re welcomed as warmly as any regular.

Whether you’re looking to unwind with a glass of something special, enjoy a casual bite of superb Spanish cured meats, or just soak in a slice of true Andalusian life, La Cepa de Cádiz is well worth a visit.

Lovely bar with friendly staff and a great choice of Chacuterie.
Excellent meats, cheeses and tinned seafoods.
Wine was good and service was quick.
Definitely worth visiting, especially if you can get a table outside
If you need the local vibe, visit this awesome bar. You will receive great wine and also some local snack-jamon, cheese, pate….You will love it!

Great little bar off the beaten path and away from the tourist crowds. We enjoyed a few beers and some excellent tapas. The atmosphere was lively and authentic—exactly what you’d hope for in a local tapas spot. That said, there was only one server managing the entire floor with over 60 guests, so service was understandably slow. Still, the energy and vibe of the place made it worth the visit. A solid choice if you’re looking for a true local experience.

We liked the place, nice cold local beers, friendly staff. Until we paid with cash and the change was wrong. You need to be very firm to get your correct change back.
A shame. Better pay with your debet card to avoid unpleasant surprises 😵‍💫
