EL PATIO ANDALUZ

We loved our idyllic week in this house in late February. It was exactly as photographed. Beautifully furnished, maintained to the highest standard and spotlessly clean. The bedroom was comfortable. The kitchen was a joy to cook and eat in, but the highlight was the beautiful garden and pool area.
We enjoyed total privacy but the owners were minutes away if we needed them. The town has everything we needed within a short walk. Velez as a base was excellent to explore the region. We particularly enjoyed Nerja which was 30 minutes drive to the East.
Highly recommended.

Great place to stay. Well equipped, beautifully clean and hosts helpful but not intrusive. Outside area a pool really enhanced our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Important: the house is not private. The tenants wander around the house; there is no privacy.

We notified them in advance that there would be seven of us. Upon arrival, they tried to charge us an extra €300. Naturally, we refused. After I wrote a review, they called me shouting, and then they deleted the comment.
The tenants are rude and nosy. They show up at the house to keep an eye on things, even when we weren't there. We suspect they entered the bedrooms. I do not recommend staying here.

We booked the entire house for 5 people at a fixed price for a week. A few days later, we called to say that another couple was joining us. They told us it was no problem, that the house had plenty of beds. Upon arrival, they told us it would be almost 300 euros more.
First time we'd heard the price was going up.
The first argument. It would have been easier to tell us before we arrived, mainly to avoid any surprises.

The house isn't private. You share it with the owners; you get out of the shower and run into a woman in the hallway. An uncomfortable feeling of having no privacy whatsoever.

The bedrooms aren't all separate. Two of them contain another room within them.

The owners aren't very friendly. Poor management and little privacy.

They also gave us trouble because three friends came to visit for a barbecue. In short, I think if you rent a house, they shouldn't be controlling you and telling you who can and can't come to see you.

We've spent the whole week at the beach all day, and for the three times we've been at the house they've given us problems.
