Staying in the H10 hotel so visited the rooftop bar several times during our stay and feel it deserves a separate review.
It is open to more than just hotel guests and is accessed by lift from the hotel lobby. It has seating on three sides, although beyond the main bar area this is for hotel guests only, and the staff do, politely, move on those who do sit in the guest only area.
Serves a range of drinks - we enjoyed glasses of both red and white wines, a very generously poured Carlos 1, and cava. Staff all very efficient and very friendly. Nice to come up to the rooftop bar either before heading out for the evening, or to round the evening off. We all also spent a couple of hours up there just sitting in the sun, having a pleasantly chilled white wine from mid-afternoon on one of the days of our stay.
It is designed as an outside space and has plenty of heaters when the chill of the evening sets in - which it certainly did in March, despite pleasantly warm and sunny days.
There is also a relatively small indoor space if the weather is a bit too inclement - we did have one wet evening. This would not win any aesthetic prize, in contrast to much of the hotel decor, but when the rain comes down its a welcome refuge.
Not overexcited by the food menu, but we did eat up there one night and had a very enjoyable meal - more appeal once cooked and presented than on paper. Mix of croquette starters, then a spectacular risotto, which even the non-risotto lover was quite taken by, and then the sensible option of sharing a dessert.
Nice atmosphere up there and a real bonus amenity for the hotel.
The price point in this review was for the meal with a bottle of wine; but two glasses of wine were less than 10 euros
