A disgrace! I was taken to the hospital by ambulance in the early hours of the morning due to an acute sciatica attack caused by a severe herniated disc. I had to wait for over an hour in a chair. When a doctor finally bothered to see me, he stayed for no more than a minute and a half to hear about my issue — he didn’t even examine me. He asked a nurse to give me an injection (I have no idea what it was), and prescribed me an anti-inflammatory and a painkiller. It later turned out that these medications were completely inadequate for my condition. After the injection, I was discharged from the hospital with total indifference. Outrageous.
To top it all off, not a single person spoke English. Fortunately, I know a bit of Spanish (but not enough). The same thing happened when I called 112 — I couldn’t reach anyone who could speak English. For such a touristy region, this is unacceptable.
Just one positive comment : The paramedic was very kind and he was the only one who spoke English
