Hostal Costabella

I stayed here and had an excellent experience from start to finish.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained, which I really appreciated. The room was comfortable and quiet. The location is great, near to restaurants, supermarkets, transportation and a block and a half from the beach.
I would definitely stay here again.

My stay at Costabella hostel was a total nightmare, and I've got to warn others before they book.

First off, there's no reception at the hostel. You have to walk 15 minutes to another place just to check in. Parking around the hostel is a joke – hardly any spots and you've got to pay. The check-in crew couldn't even give me a heads-up on where to park.

Got to my room and the towels looked like they'd been through a horror movie – old and stained. I chucked them on the floor, hoping for fresh ones, but the replacements were just as bad or even worse (check out the pics I've uploaded).

And get this, there was a spider chilling on my shoes in the closet. Squashed it and left it there, thinking someone would clean up. Nope.

Alas, upon my return on the third evening, the room remained untouched: the bed was unmade, the spider carcass still lay there, and, most distressingly, the towels remained unchanged, rendering me unable to shower.

Seriously, don't bother with this place. It's a disaster zone.

Very clean. Good size rooms. TV air-conditioning everything you need. Helpful happy staff. Great location. Comfy bed. Only 50euros a night. Highly recommended. Only downside is parking. The whole area can be a night mare. We came during the international feria, took us nearly an hour to park. Plus side it's really close to the train station.

I had a booking for one night but had to cancel it right away because check-in hours are only from 16.00 to 19.00 and they would not accept my check-in between 20.00 and 21.00 because of my flight schedules. Luckily I found out about this before going there! All communication is in Spanish, by the way.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views from the balcony.
