Hotel Bajamar Ancladero Playa

A basic room as you would expect from a 2* hotel. Everything else was 5*, comfortable bed, fridge, TV and safe in room, great powerful shower and hairdryer in the spacious bathroom. Nice pool and bar area, excellent access to the beach through an amazing complex of gardens and water features (see photos). The whole complex but especially the hotel and room were spotlessly clean, very impressive. We only stayed two nights but would have loved to stayed longer, highly recommend, will return if we are back in the area. Access to the hotel was also extremely easy, we only booked the day prior to our stay but were sent clear email with simple instructions of a key box and code by the front door.

We had a lovely week here. All of the staff was lovely and so helpful. We arrived before check-in and Loli let us stash our cases and change into our swimsuits so we could enjoy the pool while our room was prepared. As soon as it was ready another staff member let us know. Room was very clean, A/C was strong and worked well, bed was a good size and very comfortable. Pool area is great with salt water pool, shower, snack bar, umbrellas, and sun loungers (€4) and there's a beautiful view of the sea from the pool deck. David was so welcoming and helpful everyday when we came to the pool. Hotel is close to the beach through a beautiful private garden with a lagoon, pond, and waterfall although,even with the elevator, it is quite a climb so the way back to the hotel can be brutal in the heat. We often opted to use the taxi stand at the west end of Burriana Beach to get back to the hotel during the day. Hotel is also in a residential area so heading down to the beachfront or into old town is the only place to grab essentials and food besides the small cafe next to the hotel. I'd recommend renting a moped or car to get around a bit easier. We will definitely be back again, hotel was so laid back and cleaning staff always checked in everyday to make sure we didn't need fresh towels or anything on days we opted not to have the room made up.

Lovely hotel, quiet and relaxing. A bit out of the way with steep stairs or steep slope to/from the beach.

Nowhere to sit outside once pool closes at 8pm.
Enjoyed our stay as we just wanted to relax but wouldn't stay again.

The hotel was lovely, way exceeded my expectations. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious, and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was big and the showers were so powerful, they were lovely. The rooms of the hotel are managed separately to the pool and bar area, although they are linked as they're in the same building. during 10am to 5pm you can walk from the rooms through the bar area straight to the pool area, outside of these hours you just have to walk around the front and use a fob to get into the pool area.

There are two snack bars at either end of the pool area which are great, David and his family who run it are amazing. The sunbeds are 4euros a day, but you don't have to use them, lots of people were just laying on towels or brought their own chairs.

It's about a 10 min walk down steps to the beach front, it's steep so we only walked down, we never walked back up. It's 7 euros each way if you would prefer to get a cab.

We will absolutely be staying here again when we come back.

The place is very well finished. As it's early to mid January it's holiday time for workers and the facilities are closed. So no Pool, bar or restaurant available on site at this time of year. The place is well kept and clean.
The location has it's own little gem on the private gated beach path down the cliff in the form of a beautiful lagoon, that frames the view of the sea below like an infinity pool. As scenic as it is there are lots of steps to climb which could be exhausting for some. The beach is probably the best way into Nerja itself so this step access will be needed as the main road way is approximately 2km.
