I stayed at Hotel Posadas de España Málaga for 5 nights and, unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it for a comfortable holiday or a restful sleep.
Location & Transport The hotel is located in a quiet area with nothing of interest within walking distance. However, it is very close to bus stations; lines 19 and 25 take you to the Málaga city centre in about 30–40 minutes.
Dining & Christmas Experience The hotel does not have a restaurant. We arrived on Christmas evening and everything nearby—including Burger King—was closed. While Google Maps showed some local spots as "open," they were actually shut. Even Uber Eats had no delivery options. The hotel provides no welcome water in the room; you must buy small bottles for over €2. Furthermore, when I ordered a tea and asked for a bit more boiled water in a larger cup, I was charged an extra €1 for 50ml of water.
Room Comfort & Noise The room was clean, but we were quite cold. The thermostat is locked and cannot be set higher than 18.5°C. The soundproofing is non-existent; you can hear everything from neighboring rooms, even someone brushing their teeth. Because there are many late check-ins and early check-outs, the hallway noise makes it impossible to sleep well.
Breakfast Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, which is quite late for travelers. The selection is very poor ("almost nothing"). Even though it was included in my stay, I only went once because it wasn't worth it.

Nice clean hotel, lovely staff, great free wi-fi, air conditioner in the room. Good location as is near Malaga airport. Free parking. I enjoyed my staying and the room was nice, but was loud every morning from cleaners usually and from other people sometimes at night.

Great Little Hotel – Perfect for a Relaxing Weekend Away

We’ve just checked out of this lovely little hotel after a long weekend away, and it’s safe to say we were really pleased with our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located—around 20 minutes by taxi from the airport and just 15 minutes from the main town/harbour area, with taxi/Uber fares costing approximately £15–£18.

We definitely recommend upgrading to a superior room—the added bonus of a balcony that catches the sun all day is well worth the extra cost.

The hotel itself is fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Complimentary toiletries are provided, which is a nice touch. The only small downside was the lack of a kettle in the room.( The Mrs wasn't happy she didn't get her morning cuppa )

Breakfast is a simple continental offering, with no hot food options, but includes tea, coffee, and a selection of juices.

The pool area is not huge, but it’s very well maintained and clean, and it’s open from 11am to 9pm daily—ideal for a quick dip or lounging in the sun.

There’s a Burger King right next door (opens at 12:30), and a 24-hour petrol station nearby that stocks pretty much everything you might need during your stay.

Overall, this hotel does exactly what it says on the tin, nothing fancy, but clean, convenient, good value and friendly helpful staff, We really can’t fault it and would happily return.

The the first room I got is like a smoking hole, so I have to switch room. Then I need an extra comforter, waited and waited and nobody showed up until I called again late night. The next morning breakfast was ok with cold meat and bread, fruit etc standard. Before I leave the hotel, I try to refill some hot water for my hot tea bottle, a guy rushed out from somewhere and yelled at me with his eye almost popped out “ No to go! No to go! Ok, No to go!” I confess I did want to steal their hot water to go! Rude and cheapest place I ever stayed!

Wifi disconnects, zero staff speak decent english, and not close to any malls or shopping centres.
