Hotel Puerta del Mar

The hotel is located at the perfect spot near Plaza de Espana and the Balcony of Europe. Many restaurants, bars and shops just around the corner as well as the beach. Since it's located at a small side street, the noise from outside is limited.

We were warmly welcomed by Javier, he was very helpfull and had many great tips throughout our stay.

The room we had was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom was spacious as well and had all the necessary amenities.

Actually the whole hotel is nicely decorated, well maintained, every level has a small green outdoor space to relax. On the third floor there is a nice swimming pool, not too big but enough to cool down and there are plenty sunbeds available. Do not forget to visit and drink something at the rooftopbar, located near the swimmingpool. Very nice spot!

The breakfast is okay and has enough variety for a three star hotel.

Great hotel, great value for your money. Personally I would rate it a three star +. Definitely will come back.

Receptionist on arrival was extremely rude and dismissive. Not helpful at all with minimal information or guidance regarding the stay or hotel. When asked some questions gave minimal to no answers.
The counsel were doing works outside the hotel which we were not aware of with noise beginning as early as 7am for our four mornings. The receptionist from check in dismissed our concerns/upset re:this.
Every other staff member including the other receptionist, cleaners, bar staff at the pool and those in the restaurant were extremely helpful kind and went above an beyond to make the experience better.

Very nice hotel with great location, staff was very friendly. Rooftop pool and bar was great for a day of relaxing which we needed because we had been traveling all around Spain for 10 days. Just know this if your are driving here navigation on our phone had us driving around in circles trying to get us to hotel. We finally called hotel and the excellent lady explained to us that there is no way to drive directly to hotel. You must park in a parking garage which is a 2 min walk to hotel. The parking garage is called Balcon de Europa and it worked out great once we figured that out. The hotel did send parking directions as head of time but we overlooked that email do it was our fault,

Great hotel in a central location. Spotlessly clean. Great staff. Good choice at breakfast. Nice, quiet rooftop bar and pool.

Simply outstanding. We have just returned from a 4 night break here. The hotel is spotlessly clean, one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in (fabulous pillows) and an amazing roof top pool and bar area. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Fantastic location right in the centre of Nerja and backing on to Plaza De Espańa.
Would have been even better if they provided food/tapas and perhaps upgrade the bathrooms to shower rooms. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel wahtsoever.
