Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at La Casa del Perro in Málaga. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt authentic, relaxed, and full of character.
The highlight of our visit was the incredible selection of Spanish natural wines — truly exceptional. Each glass felt carefully chosen, showcasing unique flavors and a real passion for quality and craftsmanship. It’s clear that whoever curates the wine list knows exactly what they’re doing.
The tapas were equally impressive. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, every dish complemented the wines perfectly. Simple ingredients elevated to something memorable.
If you’re in Málaga and appreciate great wine and honest, high-quality food, this place is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Greetings from Slovakia !
I hate to review this restaurant & wine shop because I want to keep this extraordinary hidden treasure to myself. But Ana y Fede deserve praise for the quality of their food ingredients and the wonderful mix of flavours as well as a full range of incredible natural wines. And they are very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgeable. ¡Gracias!
We found this gem tucked away on a side street. As We love natural wines, we were thrilled with that aspect. As it turned out, a husband and wife team, she's the wine fairy, very knowledgeable, and her husband is an excellent cook. All of his ingredients are fresh, daily, shops himself.
We could try sips of different wines before we settled on one then 2 different ones.
It was a wonderful evening!!
Nothing pretentious about it.
