Absolutely fantastic experience! The hostess took extra care to find us a great table even though they were busy. The paella was amazing! The portion sizes are generous and plenty to share. Highly recommend this spot!

A great spot to sit and people watch such a beautiful town.
The tapas we had was lovely but the service was a bit slow and careless.
They were very busy but there was not a second given to you.
We would go back though as a lovely place.
Finding La Tasquita del Sevillano feels like stumbling into a small Andalusian food sanctuary hiding in plain sight in Nerja. The name literally means “the little tavern of the guy from Seville,” which already suggests someone here takes tapas very seriously.
This place is small, lively, and wonderfully unapologetic about what it does best, classic Spanish tapas. Plates arrive filled with the usual Andalusian heroes, grilled meats, garlicky seafood, cured ham, and other dishes that pair suspiciously well with another glass of wine.
The atmosphere has that proper local tavern energy. People talking loudly, waiters moving quickly between tables, the faint aroma of garlic and olive oil drifting through the room like a permanent perfume. You get the feeling this is exactly how the place is supposed to be, slightly chaotic but very alive.
Nerja itself used to be a quiet fishing village before tourism arrived along the Costa del Sol in the mid 20th century. Spots like this still feel like a small reminder of the older Andalusian food culture that existed long before beach umbrellas and souvenir shops.
You come in for a few tapas. Suddenly the table is full, the conversation is louder, and leaving feels like abandoning a perfectly good evening. Classic Spanish trap.
We head to La tasquita when in Nerja for traditional Spanish food which is always cooked perfectly. The atmosphere in this busy restaurant is great and the staff are polite and very efficient. Isn’t it nice to feel relaxed at your table with no pressure to hurry up and move on. Thank you to all at La tasquita
So far, this is the best restaurant I’ve visited in Nerja!
I really enjoyed my chicken with pineapple curry and the shrimp fritters with molasses.
The atmosphere is fine, the staff are kind, and the quality of the food truly stands out.
This place definitely deserves your attention — I’d gladly come back again
