About the neighbourhood: Distrito Centro
Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

The Mañana is our favorite bar in Malaga. It was the first neighborhood bar we found during our inaugural visit 4-yrs ago. Eddy and Robbie are great and gracious hosts, and are excellent behind the bar. Bonus??? They are great humans, too! So much so that we call them friends.
The clientele is eclectic - mostly a mix of locals + various expats with a wee splash of a few tourists.
If you need a spot with a vibe and a load of laughter and smiles, find the Mañana Bar.
