About the neighbourhood: Cruz de Humilladero

Densely populated residential district just north-west of the centre, between Carretera de Cádiz and Bailén-Miraflores. It contains the main long-distance bus station, the wholesale food market (Mercado Mayorista), the football stadium La Rosaleda and several large supermarkets. The area is mainly mid-20th-century blocks of flats. Two Metro Málaga lines run through it, and the Cercanías commuter rail stops at Victoria Kent. The district is not a tourist destination but is well-connected to the centre in under 15 minutes.

This market has two sections: Bigger is a usual cheap market : budget clothes, fruits, kitchenware, etc... The smaller is a flee market with used clothes, handtools, kid games. Not as much cristal glasses or fine porcelans as we could find in Eastern Europe.
The place is secured by the local police, we felt safe.
Sellers are kind and friendly.

It is recommended to visit at Sunday morning it the weather is good.

Very big flea market. You can find everything - food, regular Mediterranean bazaar, second hand... There are more than 300 stands. The second hand part is quite low quality compared to what I like. You can find very old electronics, CD/DVD, home decor, shoes etc. but not much useful. The other part is more interesting. There were silk dresses for 5-8 euros, 1-2 euros t-shirts, banana kilo 1 euro etc. I passed the silk dresses with a heavy heart due to environmental concerns but but there are many other things to see there.

I've been here and I loved it. I recommend going early and wearing comfortable clothes so you can explore everything and avoid the heat. I also recommend bringing cash because most places only accept cash, and it's best to have small bills. Coins and bills like €4 and €10 are convenient.
