The experience at Mestiza Gastrobar easily topped every restaurant in Malaga for me.
All of the food was delicious and tasted like they truly poured their heart into making every dish. Ingredients were extremely fresh and every dish was unique yet went well togheter.
The owners were incredibly kind and thoughtful which made everything even better! The spot was nice and quiet and the atmosphere really enhanced the experience!
I encourage everyone to go here and experience the great food for themselves!! ☺️☺️

About the neighbourhood: Distrito Centro
Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

we stumbled on this unassuming charming little place whilst wondering around Málaga city centre and it was a wonderful discovery. the interior was small however the setting and vibe was very cosy, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious, standouts were the sea salad and octopus, with the pork belly also a highlight!!! both the owners were so lovely and sweet, this has become one of my favourite spots in the city!!! will definitely come back again the next time we're in Málaga♡
What an amazing experience in Alex and Simon's wonderful restaurant. Although right in the centre of Malaga old town, it was situated on a slightly quieter street and was a real oasis of calm. The menu was gorgeous and we both could have worked our way through it had we been staying in Malaga for longer! The food was by far the best we had during our trip and the service was fantastic - friendly, efficient, warm and welcoming. My partner says his steak tartar was the best he's ever had! It's quite a small place (which was a lovely, peaceful contrast to many of the other bustling restaurants we went to in Malaga old town), so best book to guarantee a table. We'd give the place 6 stars if we could:-)
OMG!! What a care in everything this couple do, she is hosting with a radiant smile all, he is unseen but the plates speak for him. Clean, decorated with care and most importantly very tasty. Short menu and easy to choose
