Parador de Ronda

Parking was easy (cut through the plaza into the archway where the front door is) and 22 euro a night. Rooms are not modern but they're big. Balcony view of the gorge is really worth it especially during sunset. We didn't have time for breakfast and they packed us 2 picnic bags which were honestly the nicest quality in terms of food for any grab and go hotel breakfast we've ever had. Looking forward to returning one day!

This is a very good hotel with glitches. The first, heating or cooling of the guest room could not be controlled. We stayed during cold night and the hotel provided extra blankets. The second, the hotel charges corkage (6 euro) to open a wine bottle to drink only in the guest room.

We did not use booking.com to make a reservation and came directly to the reception. They had 'only one room available', and this only room had a great view, yes, but it also had: ants that were living together with us and a ventilation that seemed to be directly connected to kitchen (that was one level below). So you smell everything is coocked there. Somebody are checking sanitary norms here?

The room was uncomfortably hot. Pouring rain outside, when I reached the receptionist, their only response was to open a window, and that was it—a single sentence. It would have been an acceptable response to your kid at home, but not a professional response from a hotelier. Also, the restaurant staffs were rude and I felt discriminated.
It is understandable that this parador must be one of the busiest due to its famous location; however, all the staff were disengaged and made no one feel welcome at all.
Also, the hotel exterior was under construction, which prohibited any access to the terrace towards the bridge for the view. There was nothing mentioned in the booking.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel much! The staff are absolutely friendly and helpful. We are welcomed by the smiley face and joyful greeting. My daughter had lost a toy near reception. Although it was not found at the end, the staff sincerely helped to check in detail.
Location is perfect. Room is clean and tidy. We enjoyed staying here a lot would definitely come again in future.
