Still a very nice park but does not look like the earlier pictures. They removed the large structure and giant slide and modernized the play equipment.

Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

Absolutely excellent playground in the centre of the downtown. Clean and quiet in the mornings for the little people to burn off energy before the heat hits. Highlight was the ‘big slide’ from a 3 year old. Highly recommend going here to please the young ones
Good location, very central. There is always opportunities for the kids to meet other kids as it is frequented by tourists.
In summer have to be careful as the big slide gets really hot.
Would be great if there was more green around and also a bicycle parking/poles
Nice spot for families. Two restaurants / tapas bars just next to it (open in the afternoon) for a refreshment.
Not even worth going, a compeltw disappointment.
