I really enjoyed visiting the Plaza de Toros in Mijas. It’s not a big place, but it’s full of charm and character. You can really feel the history and heritage of the town here, it’s like stepping back in time for a moment. Everything is well kept, and the entrance price is totally fair. A great little stop for anyone who loves local culture, history, or just discovering authentic places.

A small, historic and highly photogenic Plaza. Entrance is €3, up a quiet street and luckily for us, it wasn’t too busy so could enjoy it at our own pace. Lovely views of the pueblo and the mountains.
An absolute must visit when in Mijas.

I never understood how could be fun to risk your life by annoying bulls but I guess people in the past loved blood more than now, and for the toreadors the adrenaline was addictive. But leaving my opinions aside, this arena is beautiful and by night it turns into a bar with music and cocktails. The entrance is very nice and I think interesting to read for those who understand spanish. 😂
Overall, is a nice place to visit.

The bullring is one of, if not, the oldest in Spain (built 1900) and worth a visit. Not round! and smaller than you'd expect but beautifully situated at the top of town with fabulous views. Only needs 40 minutes of your time whilst in this most Spanish of towns.

Beautiful old bull right. Too bad it wasn't open but the outside is beautiful.
