Northern residential district set on a hillside, formerly a separate village absorbed into Málaga in the 1960s. The area is mainly single-family homes and small-scale apartment blocks. It contains the Reserva del Higuerón green corridor and the old village core around Plaza del Pósito. The MA-20 ring road bounds it to the south, putting Puerto de la Torre about 12 minutes by car from the city centre and 20 minutes from the airport.
Good food and great service.
It's the perfect Wonderbox to give to someone you dislike, or if you want to commit a crime, since the amount of filth will negate all the evidence. The place is a ruin, the rooms smell of tobacco, mustiness, and dampness. The mattresses show you every last spring, and if you move, it sounds like a train pulling into a station. The towels had stains of dubious origin, and there were some hairs on the floor. We had to turn off the circuit breakers because the air conditioning wouldn't turn off. And finally, it felt like we were on safari because we could hear the frogs from the fountain as if they were right under the bed.
It doesn't even deserve one star. The accommodation is bad, no, it's terrible! Cobwebs, dirty sheets that weren't even cleaned, tons of noise, windows without blinds. A real dump. I don't know why the health department isn't working because I've never seen anything like it.
I only stayed one night, and it was more than enough to know I'll never return. The hygiene is appalling: I found bugs in the bed, hair everywhere, and the sheets were stained. Furthermore, the walls are paper-thin: you can hear absolutely everything that happens in the neighboring rooms, including conversations and even other guests' sex. To top it all off, there's a foul odor throughout the entire place. In short, a terrible experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
The conditions at the hotel we booked were unacceptable. Upon arrival, the rooms were in a dilapidated, deplorable, and extremely dirty state. One room was completely missing a wardrobe, while the wardrobe in another was so damaged it was on the verge of falling apart.
Furthermore, we found mold, dirt, and broken clothes hooks. The ceiling was covered in hair, and there were stains on the floor that could have been easily removed with a simple cleaning.
We were neither offered alternative rooms nor was the room given a thorough cleaning to a proper hygienic standard. The stay was extremely unpleasant for us travelers, and our sleep was severely disrupted.
In the early morning hours, we were repeatedly awakened by loud noises and sexual activity from the neighboring room. Additionally, construction workers, who were also staying at the hotel, caused considerable noise pollution with loud machinery starting at 6:00 a.m. Again, the hotel did not respond to our complaints.
The Wi-Fi was unusable throughout our entire stay – neither in the rooms nor on the communal terrace. Even mobile data connections were unavailable in the rooms. Furthermore, the towels were not changed, but simply rehung up.
A towel was stolen from our car in the courtyard while we were briefly at reception to resolve some issues.
The only positive aspects worth mentioning were the friendliness of the ladies at the breakfast counter, the reasonable prices, and the quality of the food.
