If you're a fan of Cuban cuisine, I'd highly recommend Restaurante El Tocororo. The food was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I ordered the Ropa Vieja for my main, and it was easily the highlight of the meal. The slow-cooked shredded beef was incredibly tender, rich, and full of deep, smoky flavours. It tasted authentic, comforting, and beautifully seasoned.
The accompanying rice and black beans were just as impressive—simple but cooked to perfection, with plenty of flavour that complemented the beef wonderfully. To drink, I'd recommend trying the Mai Tai cocktail. It's deliciously fruity and refreshing, but don't let that fool you—it definitely packs a punch!
Overall, Restaurante El Tocororo offers excellent food, generous portions, and a genuine taste of Cuba. It's a place I'd happily return to and would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Cuban cuisine.
