The Eastern district stretches along the coast from La Malagueta beach to the village-like fishing quarter of El Palo. It contains some of the city's most distinctive areas: La Malagueta (urban beach next to the port), Pedregalejo (palm-lined seafront paseo, traditional espetos), El Palo (working fishing community and casual chiringuitos), and El Limonar / Cerrado de Calderón (residential hillside with sea views). Local buses 11 and 34 connect the entire strip to the city centre. The seafront promenade is continuous and walkable end-to-end.

Real authentic local restaurant; everything we ate was super fresh and delicious, and the service was very kind and attentive. We will definitely go back, highly recommended.
Edit: I have to take one star off because their contact details and working hours are not updated.
The food was simple and amazing! The staff was super friendly and attentive! We stopped in front of the restaurant to check the menu and we were invited to seat. I didn't need to beg to make an order. Simply perfect! Also, the food reminded me of my grandma's food in Brazil!
One of the most unique local food we’ve had - a very fresh welcome after having the same Spanish food constantly. This place was a very refreshing change while keeping to local traditions. Had the fried eggplant with goats cheese and what my wife and I now regard the best beef sirloin dish we ever had after our years of travel here. Their aperitifs are great too.
Will return for sure

We were sitting outside because the restaurant was full at lunch time. But weather was still nice.
Waiter brought us even daily specials menu.
I enjoyed my cod in tomato sauce but my parents we not happy with their (bacalao a la bilbaína). Tasted too oily and like medium raw. Maybe that's the Spanish way of preparing cod but we didn't expect that at all or too busy at this hour (~14:30)
Starter: salmon tartar with avocado - delicious.
