Found myself at Taberna El Tapeito, a spot that doesn't mess around. Over the course of my stay in Torrox we came several times for beers, wine, and tapas, and to take in the ocean view, fresh air, good company, and simple tasty eats.

As always we enjoyed the tapas of El Tapeito. Tastefull, big portions, little prices. Keep them going!
We loved it when it was still called La Rienda, with lots of different wines to taste, and very tasteful tapas. But I guess a new name means new owners, as it's definitely not the same anymore. Food is not bad, but not as good as it used to be... And some kind of unwillingness to work annoys when sitting there, while I guess also in Spain a smile and friendly nod costs nothing while it elevates the experience to a higher level.
This was the first place we visited in Torrox and we weren't disappointed. Great selection of drinks and tapas with very friendly staff. Visited lots of other tapas bars in town and we keep coming back here. Highly recommend!
