About this business
Terraza del Limonar Albergue offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for travelers in Málaga-Este. Enjoy comfortable lodging with beautiful surroundings, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Find directions and contact details below.

About the neighbourhood: Málaga-Este

The Eastern district stretches along the coast from La Malagueta beach to the village-like fishing quarter of El Palo. It contains some of the city's most distinctive areas: La Malagueta (urban beach next to the port), Pedregalejo (palm-lined seafront paseo, traditional espetos), El Palo (working fishing community and casual chiringuitos), and El Limonar / Cerrado de Calderón (residential hillside with sea views). Local buses 11 and 34 connect the entire strip to the city centre. The seafront promenade is continuous and walkable end-to-end.

good hostel! I was met at 3 am in front of the entrance by the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, opened the heavy iron gate in front of me, and let me into the hostel, showing me where my place is. I remind you at 3 am. excellent service:) friendly staff.

Bad.

A drunk guest peed on me while I was in the bed. I know a hostel can’t control every single guest but what made it worse was how the situation was handled — I felt the hostel was quite heartless in their response to what happened. It's obviously quite shocking to have this happen to you, and I obviously needed to pack up my gear and move to another bed. Ultimately I decided to move to a hostel in a better location because I didn't want to be around the guy who did it. (I found out later they kicked him out but they didn't decide this until after 10am when I left so I didn't know this was going to happen).

Facilities weren’t great either. The hot water system is too small for the number of guests, so showers were constantly cold. I also saw a cockroach in the foyer. It was a big one and the only one I saw so it could have travelled from outside but it didn't make me feel much better.

Ultimately there are better hostels in Malaga, so have a look around.

During my backpack trip around Spain, this place managed to make me mad the most. After I landed in Malaga, I hadn't got data or anything so I came to the address without a reservation. Reception told me to make it online so I could stay there. I asked them if I could use their internet to make it since I will make a reservation to that place, but they hung up to my face. I rang the bell again as I hoped that it might be a mistake but no. Same thing done by a different person this time. In the evening, I was left alone to find a place with data. I told the reception that this behaviour doesn't make any sense since they'll be just losing customer's trust however they just put the blame on the manager that I never encountered during my stay.
Everything was great, even as a solo traveler I felt safe, everything was clean, stuff very friendly and helpful they even helped me get a taxi to the airport on my last day. The view is amazing.

Start with the good, the staff is so helpful especially Nico, he was always making sure I'm comfortable and enjoying my stay so thank you :)!!
The location is fine a little bit of a walk but you get to see the quieter side of the beach. I liked it. The terrace is beautiful and you can always enjoy the view
The 10 person room is a little crammed and they're very basic and beds aren't the most comfortable, but it was clean and that's what matters most. The kitchen is very well equipped, and nice coffee in the morning. Also free towel makes everything worth it!! Bathrooms are clean and decent .
The vibe is a bit strange, some people seem like long term guests, others backpackers but everybody was friendly :)
