The best kindergarten on the Costa del Sol! María, her husband, and the entire staff are excellent professionals with a passion for early childhood education. Montessori, bilingual (truly!), personalized attention for each child, incredible activities, and even very special handmade artwork for parents to create unforgettable memories. My two-year-old son loves it there, and we see a huge difference in his personal development compared to our older son, who attended other kindergartens. I highly recommend it to all families, both Spanish and foreign ones. Maria, thank you from our hearts ❤️🙏

Few years ago my baby was going there and the experience was not the best, my kid was not look after properly and came with bruises from falling often. They seem to be nice only to some kids/parents. They watched cartoons on a laptop and were not teaching kids much. It was private back then and only 1 person had the right education, hopefully now that it is public it is more controled.

It was 19 months before I felt brave enough to allow strangers to look after my son. He is my world and all I wanted was the best support, love and care for him. Coming from a mixed nationality family it was very important that he develop and learn in both English & Spanish from an early age. I love how in less than a year of being there he is counting up to 20 in both languages and speaks to us in a mixture of the two. He has also learnt baby sign which is very cute.

I feared I would feel guilty leaving him in someone else’s care but I don’t as he is treated like one of the family. His day to day favourite teacher is Sergio but when he is feeling a bit sorry for himself and wants that extra bit of care and attention he sticks with Maria. We have both been very spoilt in our first experience of preschool and I personally couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you Tickly Toddlers

Tickly Toddlers is a wonderful little nursery in Riviera. The staff are very loving and caring to all the children and the staff work tirelessly with them. They are also fully qualified, the establishment is properly registered (unlike many others), and they interact with parents constantly through a very clever app.

My son has been there 18 months and comes home every day with a smile on his face. At even the age of 2.5 years, he was able to recite the alphabet in English and Spanish, count to 20 with ease and more impressively, backwards again.

While some reviews claim they were sold a Montessori system, this is simply not true and Tickly Toddlers never pretends to be this. They do use different educational methods (including some Montessori methods) to encourage kids to learn in different ways.

The other reviewer also comments on the use of the laptop, which is true but it’s sporadic and they dance and sing with the children when playing the videos.

And the phone is also true, but does it really matter the sound is coming from a phone? They also have a louder speaker but does a nursery really need a Bowers and Wilkins sound system to keep the children happy?

Tickly Toddlers is just a very happy place and my son is progressing massively there and we highly recommend it to others.

My only downside is the fact that children can only stay until the age of three so we’ll have to find somewhere else for our little man that doesn’t enter him into the full education system until later...

Also a very important note. Unlike many other schools and nursery schools in the area, Tickly Toddlers will NEVER publish your child’s face on social media. As parents, we choose not to ever put a photo of our son on any social media channels. Frankly I think it’s insane that some schools do this, but Tickly Toddlers never will. All faces will be blurred out for the child’s safety and for your peace of mind.

Few months ago we tried there, but the experience was awful! My kid is shy and is always with mommy, so he was crying a lot. They didn’t do anything to help him, they call me to take him and told me to be there every day until he feels well! And thanks God that this happens to see what is the reality! They are telling that are using Montessori methods for education - a big big lie! The kids are watching videos on laptop in the morning! They don’t communicate with all kids at the same way! Not playing with all kids! There is not fresh air, only air conditioner! If they are out, they are listening songs from the phone! That’s not Montessori at all! There is only one toilet for 20 kids...so I don’t recommend!!!!
