Is easily the best gym in town if you have a powerlifting or strength focus. Has two squat racks, both of which have bumper plates - which is unheard of in a casual gym in a smaller town in Spain 😂. Great vibe too!
I was squatting 170 kg, which was probably close to the limit for the bar and gear they had! Also had dumbbells up to 50, though you might have to hunt for anything over 30 kg 😂😂
Two years ago I was looking for a gym in Nerja that had free weights. I happened upon this place and I am glad I did. I spend about 30 minutes working diligently after getting cardio up walking for an hour. This club is active and friendly. When I had a slight accident 2 girls and two guys jumped immediately to help out. I choose the 12 sessions card which is reasonably priced and allows me to work out at my pace. Adrien, pictured here, is the manager, and is always helpful. If you are vacationing I. Nerja, or live here, try it out. It’s worthwhile.
Great gym in Nerja.
Came to Nerja for a month-long holiday and from the research I did, there are only 2 traditional type of gyms (not including Crossfit gyms). Went to check both out and this is the largest one. The equipment is well maintained and they have basically everything one would need to get a great workout.
They also have an outdoor functional training area, plenty of good cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes), and lots of machines and free weights.
You need to bring your own towel but if you forget they have some they can lend you.
The people there are super friendly and it's very local with a mixed crowd of younger and older people.
I paid EUR 42 for 1 month plus EUR 8 for the membership card.
It does get busy from 4:30PM to 8PM but other than that, it's great. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a gym in Nerja.
I joined this gym this summer just to keep up my running in an air conditioned space. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was minimal and two of the four treadmills were out of order for weeks on end, meaning you sometimes have to wait for treadmill. So I decided not to sign up for another month. Apart from that, very nice staff, clean and good machines.
