Malaga Therapy is an international therapeutic centre based in Málaga, Spain, providing professional mental health support to individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. With a strong focus on expatriates, international residents and people living between cultures, Malaga Therapy recognises that psychological wellbeing is shaped not only by individual experiences, but also by relationships, family history, culture, identity, environment and major life transitions.
Our approach is integrative, personalised and culturally sensitive. We work with emotional difficulties, relational dynamics, identity questions, life transitions and the impact of past and present experiences, creating a confidential therapeutic space where each person can explore what they are experiencing at their own pace.
Malaga Therapy offers individual, couples and family therapy, support for children and adolescents, psychological and learning-related evaluations, as well as more intensive therapeutic formats for situations that require deeper and more concentrated work.
Beyond individual clinical work, Malaga Therapy also develops conferences, workshops, therapeutic programs and resources designed to make psychological knowledge accessible beyond the traditional therapy room.
Therapy sessions are available online in English, French and Spanish, allowing us to support an international population both in Spain and abroad. In-person work in Málaga is primarily dedicated to assessments and immersive therapeutic experiences.
At the heart of Malaga Therapy is a simple principle: therapy is not about providing quick answers or treating people as a collection of symptoms. It is a process of understanding — understanding what is happening, where certain patterns come from, how experiences and relationships have shaped us, and what can meaningfully change.
Our work is guided by professionalism, confidentiality, cultural understanding, respect and human connection, with therapeutic support adapted to the individual rather than the individual being expected to fit a predetermined model of therapy.
Malaga Therapy — A place to sit, think, and start again.
