Málaga's historic core, bounded by the Guadalmedina river to the west, the port to the south and the slopes of Mount Gibralfaro to the east. The district contains the Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba fortress, the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Centre, plus the main shopping street Calle Marqués de Larios. Inside Distrito Centro sit the well-known sub-areas of Centro Histórico, Soho, La Merced and Lagunillas. The area is almost entirely pedestrianised, served by Metro Atarazanas and the Málaga–Centro Alameda rail station.

I wanted to get to the train, but Google Maps was sending me to the bus.
This is a shame. I see bus number 1 and I run to catch it, and when I'm at the stop I put my hand out for it to stop and it changes lanes, leaving me like a fool at the stop. It was active and I was out of service.
Among the masterpieces left by our Arab ancestors are these monuments.
