In March, I went to inquire about a lovebird for a First Communion I have on May 16th. They told me it was too soon and to come back closer to the date. However, I went back at the beginning of April, and they told me it was too soon and to come back at the beginning of May, as there wouldn't be a problem. I went back again the last week of April because there were only two weeks left until the Communion. They told me to come back on May 11th, as they would have lovebirds available by then without any problem. They took down my phone number and name. But I didn't receive any call to pick it up, so on May 12th, I called to ask, and they told me they didn't have any, that they were contacting the breeder, and that they might have one sometime that afternoon. I arrived that same afternoon around 5:30 pm, and they told me that the Communion was on Saturday and that they would call me back sometime that afternoon with some news… Here I am, still waiting for the call on May 13th and calling everywhere to see where I can find a lovebird.
If you can't reserve them or aren't sure if they'll be available, don't make a commitment and tell the truth. It would have been easier to tell me, "We don't know if we'll be able to get it; they come in and sell out as soon as they arrive." I should have started looking for it at the end of April, not when I'm three days away from the communion and searching frantically. Besides the lack of communication, not even a call to tell me they don't have it...
Thanks for nothing.
